Leader: Zionist regime has prepared 'bitter and painful fate' for itself with latest attack

Following the Israeli attack on residential areas in some Iranian cities, including Tehran, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, warned that the regime must now await a harsh punishment."

In a statement on Friday mornings, hours after the latest Israeli aggression against Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei said the Zionist regime has prepared a “bitter and painful fate” for itself.


“With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared a bitter and painful fate for itself — and it will undoubtedly face it,” the Leader said in his message. 


He said these crimes have once again exposed the Tel Aviv regime’s vile nature and will bring about severe punishment for it.


“In the early hours of today, the Zionist regime extended its filthy and bloodstained hand to commit a crime in our beloved country, exposing its vile nature more than ever by targeting residential areas," read the statement.

Ayatollah Khamenei further emphasized that the Zionist regime’s crimes will not go unanswered.


“By God's will, the powerful hand of the Islamic Republic's armed forces will not let it go unpunished.”


Senior IRGC commanders and nuclear scientists are reported to have been martyred in the large-scale Israeli strikes that targeted Tehran and multiple provinces across the country.


Major General Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), is among those martyred in the Israeli attack on Tehran early Friday morning.


Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, commander of the central headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, was also martyred in one of the attacks, the state TV confirmed.


Veteran nuclear scientists Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi, Fereydoon Abbasi and Dr. Abdolhamid Minoucher are among other martyrs in the latest Israeli aggression.
